PDO Thread Lift

PDO threads

A PDO thread lift gently repositions tissues and boosts collagen production with a thread lift. Thread lifts can be used to lift specific areas or to add volume to large areas and make them look more youthful. Over time, the threads dissolve, leaving behind smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin. In addition to being FDA-approved, PDO threads are safe with little or no side effects. The thread lift does not provide as dramatic results as a surgical facelift but can still provide noticeable results. Targeted treatments may help you solve specific problems. With the help of our expert staff, you can make an informed decision regarding thread lifts. At The Aesthetic Lounge, our average clients that undergo a Thread Lift are typically between 30 and 55 years old. The PDO thread lift can be used almost anywhere on the face because of its versatility. These include

The cheeks and lower face/neck regions are the most common areas to be treated.

PDO Threads FAQs

After the treatment, you can see some of the results right away, like lifting the skin and contouring. You may find that your skin is tighter when you leave than it will be a week later.
One of the best features of this treatment is that it only takes 30 to 45 minutes. You can then return to work or whatever else you had planned for the remainder of the day.
PDO thread lifts are non-invasive, so there isn’t much preparation required. In order to get the best results from your treatment, there are a few precautions you can take. Before your treatment, you should avoid the following things:

  • Alcohol
  • Ginkgo
  • Omega fish oil supplements
  • Chinese medicine
  • Vitamin E
  • High-intensity workouts
  • Steam rooms and saunas
After your thread lift, you may require a week or two for the puncture points of the threads to heal so that you may have some redness, soreness, and tightness after the procedure. Apart from that, PDO thread lifts do not cause any downtime.
Several factors may affect how long your PDO threads last, including the thickness of the threads, their quality, and your body’s metabolism. Our clients typically find that the threads dissolve within six to nine months.

This treatment does not require a lot of special aftercare. After your PDO thread lift, however, you should not undergo any dental treatments for two weeks. You can negatively impact your treatment results if you hold your mouth open for an extended period. You’ll want to try to sleep on your back for the first couple of weeks. This will prevent you from putting too much pressure on one side of your face.
